Because of structural differences and lower lignin content, agricultural fibers are more easily bleached
and pulped than wood fiber. Thus, agrifiber is thought to be more amenable to bleaching with processes
that utilize no chlorine-bearing compounds, or totally chlorine free (TCF) bleaching.
